The new comedy-horror short by Christopher Pinto, "Horror Insurance" is currently in production, with shooting wrap date expected to be March 15, 2026.

The plot centers around a homeowner who is approached by a door-to-door insurance saleswoman, offering Horror Insurance, to protect against injury or death incurred during an attack by a ghost, cryptid, monster, or other supernatural being.

The woman of course turns down the offer as being silly. But the saleswoman has a few tricks up her sleeve...

Shot in Broward County, FL, the film features Pinto as director and cinematographer, and stars Cameron Nolan as the salesperson, and Erynn Dalton as the prospective victim...I mean, customer.

The cast and crew will be familiar to anyone who has attended live theater performances or movies by Infinite Abyss Productions. Dalton, Artistic Director of Infinite Abyss, has several films available for streaming including the cult-hit "Big Easy Queens"  now on Hulu.

"We've got a few B-roll scenes and one day left of shooting with the principal players," says Pinto as he sips a scotch by his Tiki Bar where one of the scenes was filmed. "Everyone is so professional, so talented, we got most of the shots in one or two takes."

Pinto also makes a cameo as a serial killer in the film.

The production is expected to have final cut in time for the 2026 festival season.
